Task
More and more people are buying their products from large online retailers. It’s convenient, fast, and available around the clock. This is putting local businesses under increasing pressure: they lack digital reach, even though they are crucial to cultural diversity, a city’s identity, and sustainable local consumption. At the same time, there is growing awareness in society of regionality, short transport routes, and CO₂ reduction – aspects that could benefit local suppliers if they were more visible.
Many retailers do not have the necessary resources to establish a professional online presence. For customers, shopping in-store is often less convenient than clicking through an online shop. As a result, the qualities of local suppliers – authenticity, personal advice, diversity – remain largely invisible.
Approach
Localing creates a platform that combines the advantages of online retail with the strength of local stores. With a clear corporate design, holistic branding, and a targeted social media campaign, a consistent visual language is created that builds trust and strengthens the project’s recognition in the long term.
Outcome
Customers find shopping in local stores as easy and convenient as shopping online, while still experiencing the identity of the stores. Localing thus strengthens the visibility of retailers, promotes sustainable consumption through short distances, and establishes a strong collective network that supports both the local economy and community.
