Task
“Politisch korrekt Beleidigen” explores the power of language, focusing on insults as a form of verbal violence. Words can connect or hurt, empower or dehumanize, and continue to shape the way we live together as a society.
Approach
At the core of the project is an educational book that was written and illustrated specifically for this purpose. It sheds light on the dark side of language, tracing its use from antiquity to the present day and showing how words have been deliberately employed to exercise power and devalue others. At the same time, the book invites readers to critically reflect on their own use of language.
The project is complemented by a playful card set featuring combinable insult phrases. Through humor and interaction, it makes the impact of language tangible and encourages a more conscious and responsible use of words.
Outcome
The project consists of a documentation, an illustrated book, and a set of combination cards.
